What each badge means, and what a workshop has to do to display it.
A certification badge on a Mechanics Finder listing signals that the workshop is a member of, or qualified by, an independent New Zealand body. Each card below explains what the certification covers, what the workshop had to demonstrate to earn it, and lets you jump straight to the list of certified shops.
MTA
Member of the NZ Motor Trade Association — signals adherence to the MTA code of conduct and complaints process.
What's required
Workshops must hold an active MTA business membership, agree to the MTA Code of Ethics, accept MTA's free dispute-resolution mediation, and meet the association's standards for premises, training, and consumer-protection practices.
Novus
Novus Glass network member — windscreen and auto-glass specialists.
What's required
Workshops must hold a Novus franchise or partnership agreement, follow Novus repair procedures (resin formulation, curing standards), and use Novus-supplied glass and tooling.
