Took my car in for a wheel alignment today. No appointment, I just drove in. I was told "Give us 30mins and we'll be able to fit you in" so I did.
I'm still shocked at how affordable it was.
Che was awesome, he took the time to show me exactly what he'd done.

We visited Advantage Tyre & Battery Shop Gisborne on a Saturday to get a tyre repaired. Che helped us out and we wanted to commend his customer service. He was polite, helpful and very prompt with his work.

Keith & Caleb, at the Gisborne branch were very helpful, friendly and fast- I was given a good deal for my battery. i recommend them ☆☆☆☆☆

I purchased a premium service package worth $299 from this shop, which was supposed to include an oil change, wheel alignment, and a comprehensive 18-point safety check - including checking all fluids and filters. Unfortunately, my experience from 27/3/2025 has been quite disappointing.
After picking up the car, I was given very little information about what had actually been checked or done. I've done this service because I wanted to do a roadtrip to the South Island soon, but shortly after departure, the washer fluid warning light came on and a bit later the brake fluid warning light appeared as well. Now I’m concerned about what might go wrong next and whether the work was done properly at all.
I’m now far from the shop on the South Island so I'm unable to return or speak to them directly, which makes the situation even more frustrating. Not sure, if it was a bad day for them or if they treated me like that because I'm backpacker on working holiday.
For a service that was meant to provide peace of mind during my travels, this is completely unacceptable.
