Once again great service from the Bridgestone Taupo team
Wow, lovely friendly staff and even a delicious coffee, they just had a big truck come in and were flat out but they still took time to change a Tyre round that i bought in . Thanks team, Pete

Took a flat tyre for a $55 repair and they tried to upsell me a $500 replacement by saying I had driven the flat on the rim (when I had stopped immediately and the tyre had not been fully flat). I had to ask for the tyre back, and got two people to inspect it at a reputable Taupo tyre place for a second opinion, both were adamant the tyre was fine and safe. I paid $35 for the repair and they reassured me it would not burst or explode (which the Bridgestone lady said could happen). It feels like Bridgestone is using repairs as a way to scare or coerce people into buying new tyres, playing on customer ignorance. The older couple in front of me were told they should buy a set of six new tyres when they brought in one for their camper or caravan??? I'm sure I'll get a reply to this review stating high safety standards as the reason for not repairing my tyre at Bridgestone, but my own common sense and the advice of two tyre experts suggests it was in order to make me spend alot more money there. It's a pity Fair Go isn't still running as they could send in a mystery shopper.
Ordered tyres Friday. On site by Monday. Quick and efficient replacements and buy one get one half price deal to boot. Great service.
Thought we were in for a mega high price for our 2 tyres, but we were pleasantly surprised by the Bridgestone value! Yes, our 2 x 245/35R19's were on Buy 1 get Second Half Price, but even at $380 each RRP, they were cheaper than I was expecting. Booking was easy, tyres took 24 hours to arrive, and the fitting took an hour. Pretty.good service in my book!
