This is my go to for honest, quality and no nonsense help on our cars. I regularly recommend them to friends and family because I know that they will give you the real deal and ensure you get what you need.

Just took my car to Car Mechanix for a service. Everything was fine with the vehicle when I dropped it off never had any problems. Then I get a call saying the ignition failed. He stated it's a common fault and said that he can call a locksmith that would cost alot and probably wouldn't be able to fix it until the next day leaving me with no vehicle. He was very arrogant and had no empathy for the position I was in. Luckily I called Locksmart and they came out straight away and repaired my ignition at a discounted price. Now I'm out of pocket $400 and have to hunt for a new mechanic I can trust. Now responding to your reply - You stated that you turned the ignition once but according to the written record on the invoice you gave me and I quote "started vehicle and moved to side, had trouble switching off vehicle as key was hard to turn physically in workshop. Tried to start vehicle - key jamming inside ignition barrel and not turning. Suspect fault within ignition barrel." So you turned the key multiple times. Unfortunately the locksmith does not do assessments, I'd have to get an engineering report which is more time and money. I wasn't going to leave my car overnight therefore I had to get it repaired as soon as possible. Let's assume it was wear and tear the fact is that it happened under your care and you didn't even try to help me get it repaired the same day. Try having a little empathy next time a car breaks down under your care and not come to a conclusion with no report or investigation.
