This was by far the worst experience I've had at a workshop. Their pricing was completely non-transparent, even though I specifically asked in advance. I booked a simple oil change and basic maintenance service. However, when I picked up my car, they charged me extra for replacing the wipers — without any prior discussion or approval! I felt extremely frustrated. I had actually prepared my own wipers to replace by myself. If they had simply communicated beforehand, I could’ve avoided this unnecessary cost and installation. It felt like they treated me differently just because I’m a foreigner. On top of that, they left an unidentified plastic part on the passenger seat — I still have no idea where that piece came from or what part of my car is now incomplete. After the so-called full inspection, their feedback was careless and vague. When I asked for details, all they said was “all good,” which is totally unprofessional. I do not recommend this place.
I contacted Matthews Mechanical last Monday regarding a comprehensive pre-purchase check on a 2006 vehicle. I rang 5 other places to get quotes and theirs came in very reasonable in comparison. I spoke with Matthew himself ( very friendly and easy to talk to ) and I was able to book the vehicle in the very next day. The check was done and a report written up and sent to me online, and my bill settled. There were a few faults with the vehicle - but these were itemised and given quotes for. The whole process couldn't have gone smoother I have to say, and I am very happy I chose MMServices to do that job for me. Great value, done promptly, friendly to boot. Six stars.
