rude customer service, don’t go here! when you review their poor service instead of them acknowledging their mistake, they lie and say i’m not in the system and to contact them directly…NO THANK YOU don’t want anymore rude service from this place !!

Threatening legal action over a customer’s opinion is UNPROFESSIONAL and CONCERNING. Under the NZ Defamation Act 1992, “honest opinion” is a protected legal defence, meaning customers can share their genuine views evennn if they are negative. Please do better with your customer service immediately

Don’t recommend, They fix other issues that ain’t related to a collision (painting and blending) also fixing a whole door that ain’t related to the collision damage just fixing whatever their client wanted fixed (have evidence proof) and they tried to decline it saying they didn’t fix the door but have evidence proof in the insurance they did in fact fix the car door! Will definitely tell others to not go to them! Again HIGH chance they fix whateverrrr their client wanted done up. Unprofessional.

Extremely disappointed with Peter Long Collision in Palmerston North.
Our Ute was involved in an accident on January 7th and was taken to Peter Long Collision that same day. Repairs were supposed to take around 8 working days — instead, it took them over two months to get our vehicle back to us.
Throughout the entire process, communication was terrible. We constantly had to call for updates, only to be met with rude or unhelpful staff. Every time we were promised a call back, it never happened. We were repeatedly told parts were wrong or delayed, and at one point staff couldn’t even tell us where our vehicle physically was.
When we finally got the vehicle back, the bonnet was crooked and the radio didn’t work. Instead of explaining or fixing it properly, we were told it might need a whole new head unit — in the end it turned out they had disconnected the battery and never entered the radio pin code. It was a simple fix they should have known about.
To make matters worse, we were told the final safety and quality check on our vehicle had been done by an apprentice — unsupervised — which explains how issues like a misaligned bonnet and a non-functioning radio were signed off as “complete.”
The lack of professionalism, ridiculous delays, poor quality control, and dismissive customer service are completely unacceptable.
I’ve since told friends and family to avoid this place. This experience has been stressful, time-consuming, and deeply frustrating. I would not recommend Peter Long Collision to anyone.

Peter long repairs service was 2nd to none.
Friendly and easy to work with aligning the insurance companies took all the stress away for me and the job on the ute was exceptional.
💯 Percent recommend these guys for any panel and motor repairs.
