I would definitely recommend this repairer. From the moment we arrived, they were very friendly and welcoming, and made us feel comfortable straight away.
They also organised a loan car for our family of five, which we really appreciated since our car is our only way to transport our kids.
A special thanks to Rhys as well - he was awesome and made our whole experience smooth and stress-free. He was friendly, helpful, and made us feel well looked after.
We’re very grateful for their support and would definitely recommend them to others.

Wakefield & Scott Panel Beaters — Lower Hutt, Wellington | Mechanics Finder
Last Sunday, someone backed into my car while I was in the Harvey Norman carpark building. No one around when I came out, but a very large dent in my right rear door. Right on Christmas - really disappointing. I took it to Mark at Wakefield and Scott Panel on Monday. He had it assessed, insurance claim sorted and the vehicle back to me in perfect condition by Friday.
For such a busy time of year, I am blown away by the speed of this service and the friendly, professional manner in which my situation was handled.

Was blown away the service here. They were so kind and took the time explain everything really well and at the end gave inside of the car a clean before handing it over.
Highly highly recommend these guys ☺️

Scotts & Wakefield Panel Beaters
I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the service I received from Scott. My insurance company referred me to them for repair work on my car, but this has been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with any service provider.
When I first dropped off my car, the work was supposedly completed — but it was not done properly still have some issues with my front head lights. I had to take the car back again because the issues were still there. Even then, the team seemed completely unsure about what the real problems were. There was zero clarity, poor communication, and constant back-and-forth without any proper resolution.
During this process, they gave me a courtesy car, but because I work as a sales consultant and travel out of Wellington, I arranged for my Freind who is staying at our home as a paying guest who works night shifts to drop off my car and collect the courtesy car for me. The way the staff spoke to him was extremely rude and unprofessional — no manners, no respect, and no basic customer service skills.
It didn’t stop there. Even after I clearly told them I was out of town for work, they kept calling and bothering me, demanding to come and drop the car back , even though I explained multiple times that I couldn’t. Later, when my partner went to drop the car off early in the morning before going to her work, she was also treated very disrespectfully. The staff spoke to her rudely, made unnecessary comments, and even accused me of “lying,” which is completely unacceptable and unprofessional.
No customer deserves to be treated this way. Their attitude, communication, and workmanship are all below standard, and I would never recommend Scots & Wakefield Panel Beaters to anyone. I strongly suggest the insurance company review their association with this workshop — they are unreliable, rude, and completely lack professionalism.

I am seriously impressed with the service and care I received from the team at Wakefield and Scott. Rhys and Mark in particular were extremely helpful answering queries and giving me the information that I needed to feel comfortable. The loan vehicle was clean, tidy and well maintained with great fuel efficiency. I couldn't even tell there had ever been a ding in my car. It's looks better than ever! Highly recommend.
