I first started using Botany Auto Shoppe (formerly Neil Park Motors) for servicing and repairs to our vehicles more than 10 years ago (maybe 15 ?) and I wouldn't go anywhere else in East Tamaki. My top two requirements for a mechanic are that [1] they are trustworthy, and [2] they are competent. Botany Auto Shoppe are both of these things. They have always treated me fairly. Owner Phil and Fraser (who runs the front of house) are great to work with too. A+

After receiving an overpriced quote from another company for the supposedly necessary timing belt replacement on my motorhome, I called this company and received friendly advice over the phone. They offered to take a free look at my engine and pointed out that I didn't need a timing belt because I have a timing chain! I found their approach extremely professional. Thank you Phil. Unfortunately, I didn't end up using their services, but I would definitely use them if needed.
