I took my car to Nelson Brake services as I needed a brake hose made, they said they needed to see see the hose so I brought my car. After about 20 minutes they came back with a 1 thousand dollars quote saying I needed all 4 brakes done, I asked about my brake hose and they said "your hose is fine". I said no thank you, and they charged me 79 dollars for their "time". I bought a hose from a dealership and paid $50 for 2 hoses, changed myself and problem fixed. I complained to them about the charge, and also to consumer NZ. I will never go back to them.

Traveling NZ in a rental car. We had a flat and called them. They said come by anytime. We directly and they helped us get to the tire shop we needed to go to because of the rental. Although they didn't service our vehicle, they were very helpful and appreciated for their assistance in getting us back on the road! Thank you so much!

Excellent. Super prompt, great service, reliable communication. Even told me that we oldies get a discount, very kind and generous.

Such a joke, don't know how they are in business! Appalling customer service, terrible communications, very low quality work done/products used, and absolute rip off. AND they were recommended by AA!! Don't go here. All I needed was to do a couple jobs for the caravan's WOF which was originally done at AA. The onething I asked them to do was to change a connector plug from caravan to car, which they didn't end up doing. They redid the WOF and didn't send me the paperwork, picked up new work that wasn't on the original WOF, so added 2 new budget tires, a budget safety connection, and apparently it took them 3 hours to find a faulty writing which I'd been told by a reputable guy was in the connector plug. They charged me $900. They had the caravan sitting for about 3 weeks including over a long weekend when I'd wanted to take it away. And when I picked it up the electric light on one side wasn't working!!!

Really awesome team - called me within an hour, diagnosed my car's problem, gave a full price and time frame, and I was able to back out no problem - car not worth it. Went to pick up and pay for their time, and no charge given. Really professional and courteous team.
